As tough as it is, asphalt can be damaged by sun exposure, excessive rain, ice, and temperature changes. Years of gasoline and oil drippings from cars can also cause surface deterioration. Not only will deteriorating asphalt fade from a crisp black to an ugly gray, but it can also become rough and crack open-and water accumulating in pavement cracks or holes can lead to further damage.
In most homes, the only time their blocked paved driveway ever looked good was as soon as it was laid. Since that time, dirt and grime have accumulated over the driveway, giving it a dull and worn out look. Fortunately, it is possible to make driveways look as good as new once again, thanks to some good hard-surface cleaning services. Here are a few tips to choose the right service for cleaning block paved driveways.
The other way is to have 2/3 compacted sand and a third loose sand which you screed to the desired height, this is easier to screed but can result in soft spots. Establish the finished height of your block paving use a block as a guide and push it down into the sand until it is 5mm higher than the finished height to allow for the final compacting once all the block paving is laid.
If you are doing it yourself then you should make sure you know where the best place to get the materials would be, and step by step on how to do what you are trying to do. This can be done simply with one or two people; it will save you money since you are not paying for labor and just for materials for the paving. If you were to hire someone to do this work for you then you would end up paying more money in the end just for labor.
