Slate is a material that needs to be cut and chipped into size either by hand, or by machinery, and sometimes there is a significant amount of waste involved in the process. One of the biggest perpetrators seems to be large paving slabs – due to their large size, and particular shapes, there are a lot of large cuts involved in their manufacturing. There are many ways that the slate waste is used, but I’m only going to list three, as I don’t want this post to get too long.
People all over the world like the idea of having a garden in their house. Making a garden is definitely not an easy task and one may have to work hard and patiently to get the desired results. These days a lot of people find it convenient to opt for pre-made garden slabs. These are pre-designed and are priced according to the shape, size, area and type. Though the concrete slabs are most commonly used the paving slabs made of other materials are expensive as compared to the concrete but they also have more creativity that one can add to these patios.
The first thought that comes to the mind with the thought of garden is flowers and trees. A garden is not just about the flora there but also the other aspects count. Another important major thing that is essential in the garden making is the paving slabs. The common idea is that the paving slabs should be made of concrete however, one now it is a well accepted that the paving slabs can be made of an array of materials. These could vary from being slate, granite, limestone etc.
These paving slabs can be made as per ones liking and choice. The flowerbeds can be made while retaining space for the walk ways and sidewalks. These paving-slabs are of importance since they act not just as borders but also functional areas.
