If you would like to give this a try with your new driveway then you need to look for paving bricks for sale that are pretty rough so that the moss has something to cling to as it grows. The bricks do not have to be pretty they just need to be rough. If you want you can buy paving bricks for sale that are different colours and put them in a design and then paint your moss mixture in a way that compliments that design. You could even use different kinds of moss. The possibilities are endless, it is just up to your imagination.
Debris, dirt and grime are your pavement’s worst nightmare! If left for too long, this might end up staining the paving bricks, so it is best to remove it as soon as possible. For stubborn dirt or grime, simply apply a mixture of warm soapy water to the areas and leave it for a little while. You will then be able to rinse off the dirt with a hose or by using an outdoor broom to sweep away all traces of dirt. A high pressure hose is a great investment – by running over the pavers with the hose every once in a while you will prevent the debris and dirt from becoming a problem.
There is nothing really wrong with the brick except it was outside of the specifications for the brick that was being manufactured at the time. These bricks are bought very cheap by the paving contractors, and likewise they can install these bricks at a very good price which is normally much cheaper than any whole brick, cement or clay. If this type of brick is installed correctly, the paved area should also outlast any cement or concrete paver. Be wary of purchasing paving bricks based purely on look and feel, but rather purchase a paving brick that will be an investment and not need repairs in short spaces of time.
Sure, if your DIY skills are non-existent then you might not want to tackle a highly complex paving design as your first project, but with a little bit of thorough planning you will soon have a beautiful new driveway or pathway to boast with.
