Debris, dirt and grime are your pavement’s worst nightmare! If left for too long, this might end up staining the paving bricks, so it is best to remove it as soon as possible. For stubborn dirt or grime, simply apply a mixture of warm soapy water to the areas and leave it for a little while. You will then be able to rinse off the dirt with a hose or by using an outdoor broom to sweep away all traces of dirt. A high pressure hose is a great investment – by running over the pavers with the hose every once in a while you will prevent the debris and dirt from becoming a problem.
After a year or two you might see that your pavement starts looking a bit dreary. When this is the case you know that it is time to apply new sealant. Firstly make sure that you’ve removed all the weeds and dirt and that the paving bricks are completely dry before you start applying your sealant. Try to do this on a sunny day as it is important that the sealant has time to properly settle and dry, before you walk or drive over the bricks again.
There are various types of clay paving bricks and one particular product is the broken clay paver. Clay paving bricks are put through a heating process and after this process inspectors discard any brick that is either not within parameters of colour or size that is currently being manufactured. These discarded bricks are normally broken in half and paving contractors purchase and install them in a circular pattern.
As you can see, finding paving bricks for sale does not have to be about the colour of the bricks and how they make your driveway look. You could decide that you want to get a single type of brick and paint your very own design onto the bricks with moss instead. Why not think about making your driveway unique and using nature to decorate instead of relying on the brick manufacturers to have what you want to use.
